**taps side of glass**
I’d like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone to cocktail hour for The Book Blog Social Club’s Progressive Dinner Party. As your hostess for this stop I want to wish you good tidings, I hope you enjoy mixing and mingling with your fellow bloggers over some amazingly tasty and refreshing holiday treats. I imagine that your belly’s are quite content after taking a taste of the wonderful shrimp dip you were served at Joyfully Retired‘s stop just prior to mine.
For your enjoyment I’m sharing with you a Christmasy beverage I found by way of The Food Network:
Gingerbread Martini
1 oz. vanilla vodka
1 oz. hazelnut-flavored liqueur
1/2 oz. butterscotch schnapps
4 oz. ginger beer
ice cubes
dark rum
Gingerbread cookie
Instructions: Mix vanilla vodka, hazelnut liqueur, and butterscotch schnapps in a glass with ice and shake it well. Pour that fabulous concoction into either a highball or martini glass filled with ice. Top it all off with some ginger beer then pour a little dark rum over the back of a spoon to float it on top.
Slip a gingerbread cookie onto the rim of the glass for garnish and you got yourself a yummy sweet treat with a bit of a zing to it.

Thank you for stopping by to spend some time with me here! I want to encourage you to continue the festivities by visiting The Amethyst Princess next she’s got something tasty on the menu for everyone.

I’m with Nymeth – how soon can I justify a Gingerbread Martini?! This drin sounds delicious. Schnapps reminds me of highschool but Peach Schnapps! Butterscotch Schnapps would be great on ice cream too…I hope!
