lrticonThe Literary Road Trip is a project in which bloggers are volunteering to showcase local authors. This showcase can be anything you want to make of it – book reviews, author interviews, giveaways – as long as you’re working with an author local to you.

How it works:

  1. Stake your claim
Post a comment here (if you haven’t already) and let me know what State, territory, region, etc. you’d like to showcase on your blog.
  2. Post content on your blog
  3. Add a link to your posts to Mr. Linky below
  4. Every other Sunday (starting 1/10/10) I’ll add new links submitted to a Bi-Weekly Road Map post that navigates readers through who has posted and what.

Frequently asked questions:

  1. Can more than one blogger claim the same state/territory/country?
A: Yes! More than one person can claim the same location. I want anyone who wants to participate to feel like they can.
  2. How long will this project last?
A: There are no defined time limitations.  Participate for as long as you would like.
  3. Cam I use the Literary Road Trip graphic in your posts?
    A: Please do!
  4. Do I have to post weekly?
A: Heck no! Post at any interval you want!
  5. Can you read/write about authors who are dead?
    A:
Yes absolutely, if they are part of a list of your local authors please do showcase them.
  6. I’m a publisher can I participate?
A: Absolutely as long as you have a blog and you’re focusing on one location in geography. Pick a state/territory/province and you’re good to go.
  7. Is there a list of publishers/authors who have expressed an interest in participating?
A: Again, yes – I’ve posted a list of those who have expressed an interest below.
  8. Do you know of any resources where I can find information about local authors?
A: Yes, Tif at Literary Locals has a database you can check out.
